 The religion Earthseed reminds me of ideologies of the institute in the video game series Fallout. Both are in dystopian worlds and aim to progress humanity further than ever before, from the ashes of each world’s catastrophe. The institute is built in a world after nuclear war broke out and pursues immortality through the construction of synths. They are hyper-focused on technology. On the other hand, Earthseed seeks that human life adapts to any circumstance, and colonizes throughout space. Pursuing the future even in an apocalypse is a perspective I hadn’t thought about since usually the world is set back.
